Hi,
My problem is very similar to the one already discussed, however the solutions posted do not resolve the matter for me.
Exchange 2003
I have a distribution group which receives e-mail from external and internal addresses, the distribution group forwards these mails to internal accounts. One of the internal accounts is set to forward to an external gmail type address. When an external account mails the distribution group address, the mail is delivered to all internal accounts, but is not forwarded to the external gmail type account.
However if I mail to the distribution group from an internal account, the mail is delivered to the gmail account.
I've tried placing the external gmail contact into the distribution group while removing the account from the group which was set to forward - no luck.
Also, if I directly mail to the internal account with the forwarding to the gmail, from internal or external, the mails goes through. It only refuses to go through if it's 'routed' via the distribution group in any way.
Any ideas? Very frustrated as I know this can be done.
Below is an example of the error an external user gets returned.
Thnx
Dieter
