CRM 4.0 - Error After Reinstallation - Group Does not Exist

Hello,

I am trying to restore my old CRM 4.0 database and customizations into a new installation of CRM 4.0 Professional. After completing the application installation and the DB restore I'm not able to access the application because the user groups in AD don't match on a GUID level....

The "<GUID=xxxxxx-e960-xxxx-a675-d06015b90c3c>" group does not exist.

How can I configure CRM 4.0 to use the new groups in AD? The server in question in the same server which hosted the original installation, same domain, same deployment name. Its Windows Svr 2003 std....

Thanks.

OK.....I am actually in the middle of trying that....I couldn't do that originally because the reinstallation used the same deployment name and the one I wanted to import....I am going to go through the installation again using a different deployment name and then try to import the original
Yes,you when you re-install you have to create a new organization - name this anything because  when you've done the import you can delete  it.

Worked perfectly....

Created new deployment as part of CRM Installation
Imported old DB in SQL
Imported Organization and pointed to the old DB (inside deplyment mgr)
Mapped using defaults.

Thanks Feridun!!!!
