Normally , we could alter the proxy configuration of LAN by changing the registry entries.
But after searching for a long long time , I still can't find a way to change the proxy setting of
"Dial-up" connections (those items in the "Internet Option -> connections") .
But according to my study , it should has something to do with WMI .
Does anybody know how to do it ?

You can use the InternetSetOption API to achieve this task.

BTW, PSDK is an excellent thing, a must have for a programmer! Freely available for download at Microsoft's website. If you already have it, just search for InternetSetOption.

If you go into Internet Option ---> Connections there is an option for proxy server, I am assuming that this is the proxy server setting you wish to change.
In the registry (Windows 2000) that value is held in the following:
My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key is ProxyServer REG_SZ <ip value:port no>
also held at
My Computer\HKEY_USERS\<clsid
Key is ProxyServer REG_SZ <ip value:port no>
Remember the CLSID is unique to each installation - there are standard techniques to retrieve the clsid for any particular requirement.
