Doesn't work.

Browse All TopicsI was working in Adobe Photoshop and wanted to bring up Quicktime to listen to some music. When I did, the computer froze so I restarted (Windows 2000 Pro on P4 1.7Ghz w/ 256 RDRAM).
Now, everytime I open Quicktime, it gives me the message "QuickTimePlayer.exe" has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created". At this point, I cannot open any Quicktime file or the application window at all.
I have done scan-disk on my C drive and have reinstalled Quicktime thrice. Nothing has fixed the problem.

When you're uninstalling quicktime, are you saying yes to "remove shared resources" (Something to that effect)? Quicktime is notorious for misleading people into leaving files behind while uninstalling.
Also, cosidering Photoshop was involved, you may want to reinstall Photoshop. There may have been some over lap in the registry that is causing this problem.

Have you tried Start -> COntrol Panel -> Add/Remove programs, uninstall quicktime that way, do a full hard drive search of any file with quicktime in it's name, delete those, and then installing quicktime again? That should do it :)
