The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Citrix Roaming Profile and Folder Redirection

Asked by originalsin in Miscellaneous Software

Tags: , , , ,

Hi,

I am new to the Citrix environment and having some difficulty trying to use roaming profile and folder redirection in Citrix.  Can someone help me with this?  Thanks in advance!

I have for Citrix server with load balancing for publish applications and a Domain Controller where users will be authenticated when they connect to Citrix farm.  On the DC there is a share folder for user roaming profiles, but for some reason it does not work.  When you users log on to the Citrix server (let say server 3) it will create a local profile on that Citrix server instead of using the roaming profile on the DC, when they log out any changes that made are lost when they log back into a different server.

Another problem is "My Document" folder redirection.  I used GPO to redirect "My Documents" folder on the server before and it worked fine, until we moved to Citrix that we having problem.  it does not keep the settings and pointing the "My Documents" folder to the local Citrix server under "Documents and Settings\username".  Also when users try to open a file from publish application (word, excel) it always point to ""Documents and Settings\username\My Documents" on the Citrix server where the user logged in instead of the central location on the FileServer.

Am I missing any step or what should I do?  Thanks, your help is greatly appreciatedStart Free Trial
