Unable to connect error when using RealVNC

We have a few PC's in our office that have VNC Server running on them.  We can connect to most of these pc's using VNC viewer, but there are a few that we cannot connect to.  The error that we get is "Unable to connec to host: Connection timed out (10060).  This is probably an easy solution, but I have just not been able to figure it out yet, or find any solutions out on the net anywhere.  Thank you for all your help.  Let me know if you need more information.

Can you tell us what operating system and service pack the problem machines have?

Hi,

The machines in question are running Windows XP Pro with SP2.

Hi Sarah,
It sounds like Windows firewall is blocking the connection.
Go to Control Panel, and select Windows Firewall.
Select the Exceptions tab.
Then select the Add Port button.
Put VNC in as the name (or whatever you want)
Put 5900 in the Port number box, and confirm TCP is selected.
Click on the Change scope... button.
Here you will probably want to select My Network (subnet) only,
unless people need access from the internet and your firewall is configured to allow it.
You can also limit access to only certain machines by using the Custom list.

Thank you for the help.  I feel dumb for not thinking of that.  I had the firewall disabled on my computer, but it turns out that it was still enabled on the other computers and VNC was not set up in the exceptions lists, so I will test this out later on sometime and hopefully it will work.
