Usually it should be playable if you just burn the MP3's as data. Try to code them with another codec.
Do you burn on a CD-RW? If you do so, the player may possibly not be able to read it!

If you are not using nero express, then you need to select "CD-ROM (ISO)" and not music CD. That will make it so that the files get burned to the CD as an mp3 file and not a CDA file. If your new stero supports mp3's as it says it will, then it should just play them.
If your mp3's are actually mp3 pro or some other type of non-standard mp3, then it migth also have a problem with that.
You will want to check your manual to see if you need to burn the disk a certain way. Some players do not support subdirectories, so anything that you would want to play will have to be in the root directory.

You can also use MusicMatch Jukebox to burn the MP3 files to a cd.

Always worked for me. Does not require you to specify technical stuff. Just add to the list and burn!
Hi matthiesen
Your HiFi player plays MP3 ? Then just make a data cd just put mp3 files into it and insert it into player it will play the things directly dont even need to convert anything to anything
! But if u have player who does not support mp3 then u need to convert mp3 to either wav or cda encoded audio and the cd should be burned trackwise ! not a data cd !
Some players require that the disc be burned using "Disc at once". Other players may require that all of the MP3s be in the root directory of the CD, and still others may require the file neames to be 8 characters, but that is rare and shouldn't be an issue since standard ISO CDs contain 8 character filenames.
If you are still having problems playing them, its worth checking that the cd is ¨closed¨. Mostly burning software allows you to create multi-session disks (eg burn to them several times adding new data each time). When you ¨close¨ the disk the prevents any more information or sessions being added.
Some players (usually older models) have issues playing multi-session (¨open¨) disks.
I have converted some audio files to mp3 using dbpower amp
and my computer plays the sewuence in the order i have arranged.
But my cd player plays the mp3 sequence out-of-order. As this is a reading of a book, the sequence is very important. Pls tell me how to get the sequence I arrange on my pc to play unchanged on my mp3/cd/vcd player.

Hello matthiesen =)
There is no trick.... when you will Launch Nero Express, you will get the choice, Music CD, you have to select MP3 CD.... and then follow the instructions...... Nero will burn a MP3 CD for you.... which should be playes in the MP3 Players very well :)
