hkey_local_machine>software>FileOpen
Is that registry entry in your system?

What is the current error message when you try to open the file?

Could it be that the file is corrupt? (Try to open it in another machine..)

:-)

= Configuring your browser (Netscape only) =

Open Netscape
Click the Edit menu option
Click Preferences
When the Preferences window opens, look under Category on the left
Expand the Navigator heading if it is not already expanded
Do this by clicking the [+] sign in Netscape 4.x
Or the right-pointing triangle in Netscape 6.x and 7.x
Click Applications (Netscape 4.x) or Helper Applications (Netscape 6.x and 7.x) under the Navigator heading
Click the New Type button
Enter the following information
Description of type: Portable Document Format
File extension: pdf
MIME type: application/pdf
Application to use: This depends on the version of Reader you are using but it should be something like c:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe)
This path may fill in automatically and should work as is
Click OK
Click OK
Close Netscape

= Configuring Acrobat Reader =

Open Acrobat Reader
Click the Edit menu option
Click Preferences
Click Options (Reader 5) or Internet (Reader 6) on the left
Under Web Browser Options, uncheck Display PDF in browser and Allow fast web view
Click OK
Close Acrobat Reader
When you click on PDF links, they should now open Reader to display the file.

I suppose I should ask if you're using IE or Netscape or another web browser...
