the -fni switch made it work. Thank you!

The machine seems to boot properly and load the network drivers. When it gets to the loading mouse drivers, it just freezes. I used boot disks like this on every model of OptiPlex up until now with now problems. Is there some hardware change on these new 280s that prevents them from using PC-DOS?

There is also a small hickup wich was my problem with intel 865 chipset and SATA disks.
I had to enter a switch to get Ghost starting. Maby not the same problem as you have, but an easy try when starting ghost. And just maby it starts... Would be like magic :)
When you run ghost, enter this switch:
ghost.exe -fni
or
ghost.exe -noide
But I think you'll get your solution from the link i posted.
