Browse All TopicsWe have this W2K machine at work that is giving this error when opening Imaging. I can't do much myself with this PC as there is limited rights on the PC. Our Tech guy has looked into the error, but can't find anything. I thought perhaps you people may be able to give me some thoughts to help my guy out. Here are the details of the error.
The instruction at "0x0741ff99" referenced memory at "0x00000002". The memory could not be "read".
click on OK to terminate the program
click on CANCEL to debug the program

Strange, I never got notifications saying there were any replys to my question. Oh well, at least I manually looked. I could be wrong, but I doubt it's bad memory. The computer runs great other than crashing in just the one application. I was thinking about re-installing the application, but I don't think I can do it without admin rights. I will get our Tech guy to give that a try.

go to www.memtest.org or www.memtest86.com and use that to test the memory, the other option is to take a stick of ram out at a time and test it in between to see if it is memory issues on that computer ie bad memory sticks :)
Other then that what about re installing the imaging application or using another imaging application ? Agood free ware one is :
