You will have to go to Tools menu and select "serial numbers and installations" option from that.. it opens an other window,.. click next, it will ask to choose option remote or local.. go with default selections and click next.. on the next screen you will see the installed options in a list with serial numbers and it will ask you to give the serial key to install new options..
is this what you are refering to ?
Belarc should work, although it may provide you with the GUID that's created when you add enter the product ID. Try going to Tool Backup Exec Dianostics and run the tool. Then search for the PRODUCTID. I think you can get it that way. Otherwise the only other alternative would be to get in contact with Veritas

I found this :
http://seer.support.verita
your welcome, thanks for the grade and points :) btw that link points out how to find it in the registry as well , and if you delete the last part off of the URL ie the /docs/231882.htm that will take you to there support site and you can go through and select which product you have and go from there.

Don't know if it's possible to find the serial number on the server, but a similar thing happened to me a while back & I ended up speaking to Veritas who were really helpfull especially after I had faxed over my companies original proof of purchase.
You may struggle more if you can't prove that you own the product but even then it'd be worth speaking to them and letting them know your situation. They may still be able to help.
