Browse All TopicsI am troubleshooting a corrupt company QuickBooks file. This is for one of our clients. Here is what is going in with their QB file:
Veritas 9.1 has not been able to back up this file for a few months now. Veritas marks the status of the file "corrupt."
When trying to manually copy the file, with the file in single-user mode and nobody using it, I get this error message: "Cannot copy LandArc: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."
We can back it up fine in single-user mode but when trying to restore it says the data is damaged. There is an option to open the file and do a rebuild but we do not have the administrator password, nor does the previous technician.
They would prefer not to pay for Intuit support, who they say they have heard is often unhelpful, if there is another way to fix this.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
