Was this working before?

If not, do you have another machine that you can place this drive in and test?  If so, doesn't it exhibted the same problem?  If so, bad drive.

I would suggest you try and go back to whatever the latest version of Nero was when it was in Version 6 ( 6.0.1.18 or whatever it was ) then basically try the latest version of nero when It was in version 6 and see if that helps.

If not then do as suggested above regarding trying the drive in a different machine.

the easiest way is testing the drive on another PC, or testing another drive on yours.
