Browse All TopicsI am attempting to copy SharePoint files from one portal to another. During this process I receive an error which states "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service."
Once this error occurs I cannot copy even the smallest file. I do know that it is specific to the PC because I can go to another PC on the network and start copying once again. I did re-boot the PC, delete temp files, temp internet files without success. Any suggestions? Your help is greatly appreciated.

I found this which might fix your problem ...
l Settings\Temporary
l Settings\Temporary Internet
If you receive the error "Insufficient system resources
exist to complete the requested service" while trying to
copy a file from a network location to Sharepoint perform
the following:
1) Unhide system folders and files
2) Delete the temporary files from: C:\Documents
and Settings\LocalService\Loca
Internet Files\Content.IE5 - This is probably gigs of
information.
3) Reboot the computer and go into safe mode with
the command prompt. Go to C:\Documents and
Settings\LocalService\Loca
Files\Content.IE5 and delete index.dat.
4) Reboot computer
Obviously there is a flaw in XP that this temporary
location is not emptied nor is the dat file cleaned after
a copy process to Sharepoint (or SQL). The index.dat file
fills to 15,792KB and stops which causes the error.
