1) Open your Inbox and press CTRL-SHIFT-F9 to rebuild all the view indexes in your mail database.
2) Open your "All Documents" view and press F4 (jump to the next unread document) to see if there's an unread document hiding in there.
If you can't find it, try running 'Edit->Unread Marks->Mark All Read' to mark all the documents in your mailfile as read.
Other things you can try:
- Refresh your mail template with 'File->Database->Refresh Design' to make sure your design is in good shape. You may need to ask an administrator to do this for you if you don't have Manager access to your mail database.
- Delete your workspace cache: Close Notes, navigate to your Lotus Notes data folder in explorer, find the file called CACHE.NDK, delete it, restart Notes.

Bugs aside, only thing I can think of is perhaps a replication/save conflict document or possibly a meeting inviation which is hidden from the inbox using the settings in your calendar profile?
