Browse All TopicsHi all, I have got some major problems with Battlefield 2. I hadn't played the game for a couple of weeks, and decided to load it up, only to find that it crashes straight back to desktop. I have had this game working fine for months on end in the past on the same PC. I thought that it may have been a driver issue, but have tried the latest driver (ATI's 6.11 driver). I have since gone back to 6.9 (which I have had the game running on fine in the past.) I have tried a large number of ways to fix this issue, from running System File Checker, Avast Antivirus boot scan and Tweaknow RegCleaner to uninstalling then reinstalling the game. I have the latest BF2 patch (1.41). Another point I might note is that I have the BF2 demo, which works fine. I also have a number of other games which work fine, such as Far Cry, Doom 3 and Age Of Empires 3, which I have tested to make sure still work. My system specs are:
P4 3GHz HT
Gigabyte GA-8I865G775-G Motherboard
ATI Radeon X800XT AGP graphics card
2gb DDR-400 ram
Windows XP Home SP2
