I am not the network administrator, but why may this not be a good option?
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI use Microsoft Outlook at work, on EXCHANGE. I can also use webmail, i.e. access my outlook (email, calendar, contacts etc) via the internet from anywhere.
At home I use MS Outlook aswell with my hotmail and Gmail. I was wondering if anyone knows how I can Sync my home calendar etc with my works one.
Or can I keep it live so that I can send emails and recieve emails from here or work and it be the same, and the calendar updates as I update it from here to work rather than having to sync it and make copies.
Basically, rather than syncing outlook settings, would it be possible to add the account so its all one, as in if for example, calendar changes are made at home, then its automatically updated at work at the same time or vice versa.
OR if anyone knows just how I can sync it like everyday after wiork so at home my updated work calendar gets updated to my home calendar when I press sync or something so I can keep up2 date at home aswell.
Thanks.

I would agree. Ask your network admin if there is a VPN setup you can access. If so, your in business. If not, then there is not much that can be done. If your network admin is site based, he would be the best person to ask, see what he can do for you, as he has set up the network, he will be able to give you more advice
Another option that you could use which would not require server setting changes to be made is a piece of software called Share Calendar. We have been using this successfully for about a year in a non-exchange server environment where we don't have many other options for sharing. It's inexpensive and very easy to set up. Plus their online tech support is awesome. Below is a link to their website.

Good luck

If you have Exchange 2003 at work, you could use RPC/HTTP.

Of course, if you are not the network administrator, this may not be such a good option
