Installation of .NET under Linux - CrossOver platform?

How does one install .NET framework under Linux and CrossOver? I would like to install an application that "requires" .NET. I tried installing .NET under CrossOver and it indicated that it required MS IE and MS Installer to be installed. Before I waste too much time, I would like to know if others have been successful at this.
