Send faxes from Sage Line 50

I woild like to be able to send a fax from Sage, e.g., if I select a customer/client and then select letters, select the right letter and select print, select the fax printer and then print to fax, the fax should go out with the attached letter taking the fax number from the customer record.

You can certainly do this using Zetafax.  You put the information into the document at the beginning of the first page, Zetafax treats this as an instruction, and does not include it in the output fax, but instead it takes the info that you give it and uses it to dial the embedded number.

in particular step 8

8.      Add Zetafax fields to the top of your document, for example:
%%[TO:<fax no>,<recipientname>,<organisation>]

I have managed to get faxing from Sage Line 50 working on account of the follwing:
I discovered a setting in the letters that disabled virtual mail which in turn disabled the letter being attached to a fax. Once this parameter is removed form the letter it can then be attacehd to a fax or sent as a fax! Good enough to start with. Follwing on, if I wnat to send mutliple faxes, i.e., form a lselection of accounts, I would use Spindle Pro from draycir. This seems to be the only product avaialbel for multi-faxing from Sage Line 50.

Sometimes there are swings and roundabouts with products that are tightly coupled to a product such as Sage.  For example, will it be necessary to upgrade the version of Spindle Pro when Sage is upgraded?  You might say that you have no intention of upgrading Sage in the next few versions, but there is the issue that if you have data corruption where Sage the company need to recover the data then they may not support you unless you are on the latest version.  It looks as if this is not the case with Spindle Pro, as it looks as if it supports Sage back to version 6.

Products such as Zetafax are generic and thus there is not this "leapfrog" situation to consider.

Any chance of knowing what the setting is ?
I have the exact same problem and cannot seem to trace the setting. This seems to be the only source on information I can find on the web.

Thanks for any help - will happily open a question for points.

Do you know the exact syntax of email recipient fax address, in orde to send fax with Outlook?
I have tried %%[TO:<fax no>,<recipientname>,<organisation>], but does not work.
