The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. internet explorer 7freezes on xp pro, and computer will  not restart

i'm running xp pro and up 4 or 6 times a day my internet explorer 7 will feeze. all i get is the egg timer mouse simbol. after a minute i can minimize it and then right click it and close. it will then say end program now. if i'm lucky it will actually close. if i try to go back in to the internet it will not work at all. so my only option is to restart............. BUT THIS IS THE REAL ANNOYING PART... windows will not restart; it takes about 5 mins and it starts to close different programs with the option to end now, and after 10 mins it goes to logging off screen and it stays there for good until i restart.  
i am only after doing a new installation, as my last hard drive was faulty, but i had the same problem as this long before and i resolved it by using fire fox instead.
