If you have backed up using Sage's backup on the old PC:

On new Computer:
Install Sage.
Open Sage Accounts.
The ActiveSetup Wizard Welcome page appears.
Click Next.
The My Company window appears with Create New Company checked by default.
To accept this setting and proceed with the Wizard, click Next.
The My Details window appears. The company name and address can be entered here, however this information is held on your backup so you do not need to enter this information.
Click Next.
The My Financial Year window appears. This is a compulsory field, however if you select an incorrect month or year it is overwritten with the correct information from your backup.
To accept the Financial Year Start date and proceed with the wizard, click Next.
The My VAT Details window appears, you do not need to enter this information.
Click Next.
The My Currency window appears, you do not need to enter this information, to proceed, click Next.
The Program Activation window appears.
Enter your serial number and activation key then click Next.
The Next Steps window appears allowing you to view the Setup Checklist.
At this point you can check your settings using the Configuration Editor. As you are restoring a backup you do not need to complete this check.
To proceed with the wizard and create the new data files, click Finish.
A new set of blank data files are created, and the program desktop appears.

Restore the backup files onto your new PC

From within Sage Accounts, open the File menu then choose Restore.
A confirmation window appears informing you that this procedure overwrites any data held in the current company. To continue, click Yes, or to exit the procedure, click No.
The Restore window appears.
Complete the Restore window as follows:
Drives - Use the Drives drop-down list to browse for and choose the drive where your backup is stored.
Directories - If necessary, use the Directories browser to locate, and select, the folder where your backup is stored.
File Name - By default the backup filename is SAGEBACK.001. If necessary, scroll down the list of available files to locate and select your backup. The selected filename appears in the first File Name box.
Description - The Description box displays the type of backup files detected on the selected backup.
To proceed with the restore click OK.
A confirm window appears, asking if you are sure you want to overwrite your current data.
To proceed with the restore and overwrite your current data, click Yes.
(To exit without restoring, click No.)
When the restore is complete, an information window appears informing you that the restore has been successful.
To complete the restore and return to the program desktop, click OK.
