I am experiencing this error message EVERYTIME I tried to open something by double clikcing (ie.,  Windows media player, Contorl panel--> Remove softwares/programs, mp3 files, Internet explorer icon, etc,..you name it). It bothers the crap out of me. If I keep trying to open the file by right-clicking on it--> open, then it might succeed. AFter one file is opened, other files of same nature can open (for instance, if I try 5 times and eventually opens a mp3 file, then i can open other mp3 files, provided at least one mp3 file is running. So, if I have one Internet explorer browser opened ALREADY, I can open multiple browsers as well. However, if I close all browsers and start a new one, the error message occurs again."

I do not use Trend Micro. I only use Spyware Doctor. But it has never had this problem before.

I have recently updated my windows, but that's only a part of the auto-update process that I've been doing for years.

I tried the "unblock" thing some of you talked about (it's here http://www.adminscripteditor.com/editor/Help/WebHelp/Troubleshooting/Error__Windows_cannot_access_the_specified_device,_path_or_file..htm), but it was not helpful. I simply didn't find the unblock button.

Please help. I greatly appreciate it.  Start Free Trial
