Hi Experts,
Do you know if there is anything special about qwb or quickbooks files that lock them or something and make them difficult to copy or backup when open? We are trying to back them up but seem to be having issues with them like they are locked or something. I cannot get much information on the specific error other than the file won't copy or backup. I will try to get more. Thank you.

What version of QuickBooks are you using?
Where is the QBW file located in relation to the program? For example, is the QBW on another machine and being access across the network? Or is it accessed from a local Hard Drive on the same machine that runs QuickBooks and only by that machine?
What Operating System(s) are being used?

Which version of Quickbooks are you using? 2006 and newer use a database service that runs on the computer where the qbw files are stored. You likely need to stop the service before you will be able to back up the files properly. Look under services and there should be two very obviously named services in the Q names alphabetically.
