PKZIPC - How to set configuration to extract files with their actual file date

Asked by stevefromc in Miscellaneous Software, Operating Systems Miscellaneous, MS DOS

When I extract a file from a ZIP file created by PKZIPC, the file date of the extracted file is set to today. I seem to recall there is a configuration option to make the date the actual file date (e.g. if the file was last modified on 2-11-08, 3:00pm, I want to see 2-11-08, 3:00pm when I do a directory of the file).

If there IS such an option, please advise as to how I can set it (and where to find my configuration file).

Thanks
