Cannot open specific .pdf file from OUTLOOK - getting Dr Watson error message

Cannto open certain .pdf files in OUTLOOK - getting following message:
Cannot Open Dr Watson log file
Dr Watson nonfatal error - Press OK to browse for new directory - Windows 2000 returned error code = 80

Many files open ok but certain get this error message.
Windows 2000 sp4
Adobe Acrobat 5 full version and Adobe Reader 8 are on the computer.
If we save the OULTOOK attachemnet and open it from Adobe, all is fine. We ae getting DR Watson error when trying to open it from OUTLOOK
