Adobe Reader File I/O Error

have a report that is created in AIX every day and sent to me via muttmail from AIX. The report is a PDF file and when it appears in my email and I click on it to open it I receive the following error. Error processing a page A file I/O error has occurred. I have tried different email addys and same result. I can ftp the file to my local machine and open it no problem. I think it is in my mail server but just looking for some confirmation.
