Need an easy fax to e-mail solution

Does anyone know of a simple - preferably free - way to route faxes to an e-mail address and e-mails to a fax machine?

In an ideal world, when a fax is received the server picks it up and forwards it to bob@domain.net and when bob is ready to send a fax back all he does is send an e-mail to fax@domain.net.

I'd prefer something in house and windows based.
Any recommendations?
