Browse All TopicsWe have a WinXP SP3 workstation with Outlook 2003 currently installed on it. I have searched the internet with not much success in finding a solution. Below are the messages that can be found within the Event Log. There isn't anything one thing that causes this to happen, besides the user just using the application.
The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source ( Microsoft Office 11 ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: outlook.exe, 11.0.8217.0, 480f95d9, mso.dll, 11.0.8221.0, 483c699a, 0, 00038270.

I have performed the following steps in trying to resolve this issue.
Computer has been completely re-imaged and started clean
Outlook 2003 and all service packs uninstalled and then reinstalled.
Renamed outcmd.dat out of the way and allowed Outlook to create a new one.
I have deleted the user account from the network and then added it again, and configured the outlook client software and reimporting the mail.
Uninstalled Virus protection and reinstalled thinking that may have been causing the problem.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
