A little further research on my part confirmed what I had thought...on Office 2007, 903 appears to be 2007 Pro Retail on all the ones I looked at.

Identify Office 2007 install
I have a laptop I need to re-install. It has Office 2007 Pro on it and I have the product key (thanks nirsoft) but I don't know if its MLK/OEM, Retail, OPEN/Volume etc... I have access to the media for almost any variant but It would save me a lot of time to be able to tell what variant it is.
The Product ID in this case is 81605-903-6796052-65495 where I believe the 903 defines what I need to know but I cannot find any reference to what it is.

if you can get the key the article asks, it will help you break it down a little further, but don't know of any other information available that will tell you any further. If it breaks down to retail/oem then I would say retail as the OEM would have had OEM in the product ID where the 903 was...or they have been in all the OEM installs I have messed with IIRC.
