The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. New to video production... which software to go along with?

I'm a novice, who wants to have fun and edit home videos from MiniDV...

I'm not sure which software I should go along with... and make it my primary video editing software for years/maybe life....

I'm down to two major ones, but I am open to new suggestions as well : )

Option 1: Sony Vegas 5

Option 2: Adobe Premiere Pro
http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/main.html

Both are backed up by major companies, and I will not need to switch and hop and learn new products through out my life...

And both seem to be very powerful, and actually with Sony Vegas I see more features... or is it the way Vegas is presented vs Premiere?
