Can itunes software convert m4v files to dvd? and how to?

Browse All TopicsAnyone know how to convert m4v files to a non-iTunes format. I want to be able to watch video purchased on iTunes in other mediums. Anyone know how to convert the protected files to a more traditional (and supported) format?

Doesnt itunes allow you to burn it to disc and then get it off of the disc afterwards once it is burnt onto the disc.

You may however need to rename the file extension from m4v to mp4 or something like that, not sure though but make a backup of the video files before you try this just in case something does go wrong.
However from that above tutorial you may need to do things slightly differently just because of the format of the file so it may be worth while getting and using gspot to identify exactly what codec the m4v files use :
