Creative Font Outlines in a PDF document
I am trying to convert embedded fonts in a PDF document to outlines in a automated way. I tried using Acrobat's PDF Optimizer. But it will not outline fonts unless there is a 0% transparency object on the same page.
Is anyone aware of a tool that lets me batch-outline the fonts in a PDF document?

you can do it in illustrator, but i don't know of a way to fully automate it: it only loads a pdf one page at a time.
you can make an action in illustrator to outline the fonts: (make a copy of your original pdf first, just in case)
window-> actions -> new action (second icon from the right, at the bottom of the actions window) -> name your action
start recording (second icon from the left) -> open file -> select your pdf -> select page
select all text (ctrl (or apple) + a) -> type -> create outlines ->save (using 'save' instead of 'save as' will save this page back to the orignal multipage pdf, this is why you want to work on a copy)
stop recording (first icon from the left).
you would then need to play back the action for each page in your pdf. i don't know of a way to do it to all pages at once.
