Are these cda files on your hdd?
CDA files off a cd as is onto a hdd will not play, you may have to >>reburn them as a data disc<<

since already cda format then rip them off the cd again usng cdex and convert to mp3.
Cdex converts cda to mp3 but have to be on cd.

To prove my theory
This is off MS site
CD Audio Track (.cda)
Versions of Windows Media Player that support this file type: • Windows Media Player 7
• Windows Media Player for Windows XP
• Windows Media Player 9 Series
• Windows Media Player 10
• Windows Media Player 11
CD Audio (.cda) tracks are audio files that are stored on CD media. You can play .cda files only from a CD-ROM. As a result, a sample file cannot be included in this article for you to play. To test a .cda file, either try to play a different .cda file from your CD-ROM or try to play a .cda file from a different CD-ROM. The .cda files are representations of CD audio tracks and do not contain the actual pulse code modulation (PCM) information.
You cannot play the file if you copy a .cda file from the CD-ROM to your hard disk.

Hi efrain12,
jects/cdex os/
A CD Audio Track or .cda file is a small (44 bytes) file generated by Microsoft Windows for each track on an audio CD. The file contains indexing information that programs can use to play or rip the disc. The files are given names in the format Track??.cda.
The .cda files do not contain the actual PCM wave data, but instead tell where on the disc the track starts and stops. If the file is copied from the CD-ROM to the computer, it becomes useless, since it is only a shortcut to part of the disc. However, some audio editing and CD creation programs will, from the user's perspective, load .cda files as though they are actual audio data files.
So, what you need to do is rip the audio tracks to mp3 files on your hard drive.
You can use the following software to do this:
CDEX:
http://sourceforge.net/pro
Or you can simply play the CD as an audio CD through Windows Media Player.
Hope this helps!
