The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

ITUNES ALERT! ALERT! ALERT!

Asked by Howie_Lynn in General Multi-Media Software, iTunes Software for MP3 Downloads

Hi,

I have Itunes 7.0 on my primary applications drive.  I am able to copy the Itunes entire directory from my SATA RAID  to my Western Digital Mybook and to my IDE data drive on my secondary channel.  I am able to take my data drive to my backup computer and copy the Itunes directory to the applications drive on my backup system.
I have the backup system authorized and I am able to run Itunes with the libraries copied from my data drive.

Why am I stating the obvious, you might ask?

Because, I just built a new applications drive for my primary system.  I downloaded Itunes 7.2 and, after authorization, I  accessed my libraries on my SATA RAID.  Itunes read my library and all worked ok.

Until I went to copy the Itunes directory to my data drive or to My Book.  Can you quess what happened?

I am no longer able to drag and drop or copy any Itunes music  from or to anything.
I switched back to my previous drive running Itunes 7.0 and all copy functions again worked ok.

Now this might be a glitch in my new applications drive to be sure.
But it sure looks supicious to me.  I also checked my security permissions and they were set to everyone.

So my advise until more testing is completed

DONT DOWNLOAD ITUNES 7.2
