Best Bang for the Buck DVD Authoring Package

What software would give the best bang for the buck when doing DVD Authoring? I've got files that I've clipped from home movies using MPEG Streamclip and saved to my hard drive. Now I want to make DVDs that will play on standard DVD Players. I see cheap software:
Sonic Solutions Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning CD/DVD Authoring - Complete Product for $25
and other stuff for $100 to $300:
Roxio Easy Media Creator® 10 SuiteOnly $99.99
Nero for $300

What's going to work? Note: I only need to do this one time for my home movies then I'm done. I don't see what I would then need the software for after that. I now use a camera that produces JPEG and quicktime files not my old video camera.
