This is a new computer using an Intel 975 series system board. A few days after purchase when booting, the intel audio studio software program started crashing as it was loading. It also crashes when
manually launched. It comes up with the standard windows error message that " Intel audio studio has encountered a problem and needs to close." I contacted Intel support who suggested updating the system bios and installing a newer version of the program/driver combination. I did as they suggested and followed their instructions but the program continues to crash upon launch. I can shut the program off so it doesn't start on boot but I'd prefer to have it work. I send an additional request for support help to Intel but they never responded. I suspect they have no answer either. Below is their initial response which I accomplished.
We understand you are having problems with the Intel(R) Audio Studio.
Here are our recommendations:
1. Update your motherboard BIOS.
The latest BIOS version can be downloaded from the following web site:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=N&Inst=Yes&ProductID=2578&DwnldID=15349&strOSs=44&OSFullName=Windows*%20XP%20Professional&lang=engPlease be sure to read and follow all accompanying instructions, which can be found at this link:
http://developer.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-022312.htmAfter updating the BIOS, enter the BIOS setup program by pressing <F2> during the boot process. Once in the BIOS setup utility, press <F9> to restore BIOS default settings. Reset any customized BIOS settings. Clear all DMI event logs, which are located in the Advanced section of the BIOS Setup utility. Press <F10> to save the new settings and reboot the system.
2. Remove the version of the Intel(R) Audio Studio you actually have and install the following driver:
