Song Identification Software

OS is WinXP Pro SP3. Looking for a software that will identify unknown songs directly from the hard drive and not by using a microphone. Have tried Tunatic and dozens of others to no avail.

I know you want something that doesn't require a microphone, but if you don't find anything else I will say: if you (or a friend) have any relatively new phone from Verizon, then you can use their free song identifier.

To add it to the phone, go to "Get it Now", "Music & Tones", and add new software. It's called "Vcast Song ID" I think, and it's a free download.

After it's downloaded, fire it up and play ten seconds of your song from the computer. With any luck, it will be able to identify it.

As far as I know there is no charge for this, but depending on your plan there might be some kilobyte usage involved.
