I've contacted the company that I am renting my sound equipment from to see if they have any equipment similar to the devices you recommended. I was afraid that I would have to, essentially, rip apart each song/video and then rebuild then again. It would be a lot of work.

Radio and TV stations use levellers, the most famous of which was and is the Aphex Compellor. You simply set the desired level and the Compellor will either lift or compress the programme to the desired level. Of course this is expensive professional equipment but you may wish to know just how it's done. htm x422.htm

Alternatively you would have to re-encode all your videos by capturing them with a video editor, splitting the audio out and either adjusting the volume in the video editor or exporting it to a dedicated audio editor and re-imorting it. Lots of work.
