  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. DVD recorder eats DVDs (in a software sense)

I have a DVD recorder that will sometime for no reason ruin a disk. By this I mean that after recording a program and just adding information such as a title, the recorder will give the message "Disk Error" and at that point the disk is not usable. I believe the files are there and that I should perhaps get a new recorder but that being that is there a way to get the files off the dvd that have been already recorded. I believe the files themselves are intact but how to get them off. I tried R-Studio and it does not work. Regular explorer shows the disk with 0 free and 0 used and no way to access the DVD.
What can I do? I have a lot of DVDs in that condition caused by this machine.
