Hello there,
Since our branch office moved on to the company-wide terminal server, much of our documents are being saved on a network location, and we just need to assess the volume of traffic to our old file server as there are still some files on a local share that are needed occasionally.
What would be the best auditing tool that can watch the file system at the server itself and provide a decent report, or an output file that can be reported on easily?
Server OS: Windows 2003
As this is just a 1-off event, naturally the tool we're looking for should be very low cost, or free.
Other discussions had things such as live monitoring using Sysinternals tools - but nothing does an audit per-se, where we could run the app for a week or two.
Any help would be appreciated.
