The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Companyweb : Cannot connect to the configuration database.

I'm running on sbs2003 and since i upgraded to sp1, i can't get companyweb to work.
I get the message "Cannot connect to the configuration database." because mssql$sharepoint service is not running.
The thing is i can start it but it stops immediatly. Can try to do that indefinitly it just stops everytime.


I also do get this in performance log : Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 1000 05.07.2005 05:46 12 768 *

#50070: Unable to connect to the database STS_Config on SERVER1\SharePoint. Check the database connection information and make sure that the database server is running.
