The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not?   • The Feedback of the Community

Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Event Log error: Application Server Administration job failed for service instance

Hi Gang,

I have MOSS for Search Trial version installed on my server.  This morning I have been receiving the following errors in the event log.  Has anyone seen this before?:

Application Server Administration job failed for service instance Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Administration.SearchAdminSharedWebServiceInstance (2f6e0b56-98e3-4728-9b2e-f373e82ad566).

Reason: Exception from HRESULT: 0x80005006
