With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Unable to start site in IIS.Port already in use

I am a sharepoint server devloper.when i create a new web application it automatically creates a new site in IIS.I mistakenley configured a web application with port 80.I came to know that was already in use and delted that web application.But,now the problem is now i am unable to start the site which was configured already under port 80.
I am not viewing any other sites  other than the site i need to start with 80 port number in IIS.Still when i start i am getting error

IIS was unable to start the site.Another site may already be using the port you configured for this site.

Please help me.

To configure other site with another port number i am not able to see it in IIS.
