The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Workflow - Failed on Start (retrying)

I have been playing around with a custom workflow using SharePoint Designer 2007. We have a production SharePoint environment, and a test environment located on the same server, but different site collection. I successfully implemented the workflow on the test environment, fully tested and everything worked perfect. Created the workflow on the production site collection using the same list template. Once the workflow was started, I checked the workflow history and received this message under the status: "Failed on Start (retrying)". So after restarting SPD, recreating the workflow, I decided to create just a simple workflow, one step, very simple. Got the same error. Here is the portion of the log from the server at the time of the workflow start (sorry for the ugly formatting).

So it looks like it has nothing to do with the workflow, but I'm not sure where to go from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Start Free Trial
