The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

7.0
We have 3 server for out MOSS 2007 installation.
server1 is SQL 2005 server containing all databases.
server2 is our Front End Server, Indexing Server and Search Server.
server3 is going to be a second front end server just for redundancy using Windows 2003 NLB.
We have added an DNS entry we have a host record setup for cluster.domain.com which points to the NLB virtual IP address

In a test environment we got the first two servers working fine.
We installed server3 and setup NLB on to server2 and server3.
We then tried to install the web front end only option from the installation options on to server3 with no joy.
This turned out to be issues with NLB so we disabled NLB on both servers, it then installed without any issues.
Server3 is showing in the Central Administration as having started web application services and incoming email services.
We then started the search service successfully, however what we do not understand is why we cannot see any IIS sites on Server3.
Our aim is to get Server3 to allow access to the same site collection that is viewable through Server2 so that in the event that Server2 failed our users will be able to view the site through Server3 without knowing.
Many thanks for any help and suggestions for this.
