The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Can't install MOSS 2007, ASP.NET 2.0 need to be set to allow

Asked by mcrman in MOSS-Sharepoint

I have a freash server, all up to date running IIS 6.0
When I try to install the MOS CD it does it startup chackes and then tells me that ASP.NET 2.0 need to be set to ALLOW in the web service extensions.  Reinstall NET .20 if not in list.

Well I tried to reinstall ASP.NET 2.0 to no avail as the install says "This version on ASP.NET is incompatable with a cusrrent version allready installed"

II think this is becuse of the SP1 update that was installed.  So i tried to uninstall the SP1, but it says that it can;t be uninstalled, even though it;s listed in the Add/Remove programs list.

So i figure, lets just add the ASP.NET manually to the web service extensions.  I looked at he ASP.NET 1.0 and duplicated the same setting except by pointing it to: "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll" nad using the name ASP.NET V2.0

It's now in the list and set to ALLOW.  But still MOSS installation says that it need to be set and will not install.

HELP! :(
