The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? Cant setup VTP on Gigabit ports on Cisco2960

Im trying to setup VTP trunking on s cisco 2960 which has 24 fastethernet ports and 2 gig ports. If i set one of the fastethernet ports to trunk mode it works fine but not on the gig ports.

Could it be something to do with STP?
Any ideas!?
