Transferring a bin file to the router

Hello:
I have a brand new 2851 router.  I have assigned an IP address to the GE0/1 interface.  I have connected that interface to my switch that also connects to my laptop.  This is to make sure that I have both addresses in the same subnet.  The router's address is .55 and my laptop's address is .39.  I have a bin file on the .39 laptop that I need to transfer to the .55 router.  I have installed TFTP server on .39 from Solar Winds, have got the bin file in the root directory of the TFTP server but I am getting a time out error when I try copying the file.  I am unable to ping .39 from .55.  Suggestions please?Start Free Trial
