Hi Guys,
I am going to be setting up Vlans on one of the networks (5 wireless internet towers) and ran into a little problem with the ip addresses.
I have the vlans as follows:
vlan2: 192.168.1.10
vlan3: 192.168.2.10
vlan4: 192.168.3.10
vlan5: 192.168.4.10
vlan6: 192.168.5.10
each Vlan is set on a switch at one of the 5 towers. the customers on that tower will be .50 and up on each tower.
the problem I ran into is when creating the vlans in the router, (Cisco 1841) I create the vlan, and have to assign an external ip address to the vlan for the customers to pull through static DHCP, and of course cannot set the same /24 range for multiple vlans.
my question is if I leave the external ip address out of the vlans in the router, when a customer on tower 5 (vlan6) tries to obtain an ip through static dhcp from the router, will they be able to?
thanks for the help.
