The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Routing issue with 2 subnets using one interface

Asked by j3dante37 in Network Design & Methodology, Network Routers, TCP/IP

I'm having an issue with routing between 2 subnets (10.79.136.0/24 and 192.168.91.0/24) on the same network segment.  I attached a file that illistrates what I'm trying to do.  I'm trying to transitions the location from 10... to 192.... It thought that I could use the Cisco to do this.  The big issue that I have is that I have to direct 172.16.0.0/12 trafice up the a tunnel via VPN 1(10.79.136.3).  This device can't be multi-homed.  I added a route on the Cisco to direct 172.16.0.0 traffic to the VPN1 device but the trace stops at the Cisco.  I tried adding 10.79.136.30 to the Windows server but it still doesn't respond.  I can ping the VPN1 and it responds.  The router acts like I don't have the route there.  From the router I can trace from the 10.79.136.1 but not the 192.168.91.91 interface.  I tried swapping the primary and secondary IPs without luck.

Any help would be great!Start Free Trial
